The Aesthetica Art Prize 2016 Countdown: Last Chance

Its the last day of the Ìý2016 call for submissions, so be sure to registerÌýyour entry forÌýthe competition before today’sÌýdeadline at midnight. TheÌýawardÌýis a celebration of innovation in art and design from across the world, and offers both emerging and established artists the opportunity to showcase their work to a wider audience. This internationally recognised prizeÌýis a key player in the contemporary art scene,Ìýand helps to further artists’ engagement with ever-developing andÌýfast-paced art world.

Gaining invaluable exposure from the Aesthetica Art Prize exhibition and anthology, along with editorial coverage in the magazine and online, selectedÌýartists can look forward to an abundance of new opportunities including the possibility of future exhibitions, recognition and commissionsÌýfrom external organisations. Recent successes includeÌýCarolina Redondo, longlisted artist in 2015, who has since been selected for In Search of the Miraculous at ;ÌýChilean artist Inés Molina Navea, whose shortlisted piece,Ìý541 días,Ìýwas acquired by one of the prize’s sponsors, ; and Julia Vogl’s (also shortlisted for New Sensations – Saatchi Gallery and Channel 4′s Prize) completion of a public art commission entitledÌýTysons TilesÌýearlier this year.

Further achievements include the publication of Main Prize winner (2015) John Keane’s Troubles My Sight (Mark Lawson, ); the selection of Jonny Brigg’s photographicÌýselected for Foam Talent Call 2014 and his participation in a group show in Tel Aviv with Ermanno Tedeschi Gallery; and a recent collaboration between shortlisted artistÌýMarcus Lyon with touring contemporary dance company, .
