celebrates its 10th anniversary in Basel at its new location at Clarahuus, just three blocks from Messeplatz. A brief walk from the main fair, SCOPE Basel鈥檚 well-appointed venue offers guests a select view of the contemporary art world. In 2016, SCOPE will welcome 85 International Exhibitors alongside 10 Breeder Program galleries.
Taking place on 14-19 June, the fair unites exhibitors from four continents and over 20 countries including China, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Italy, Iran, Russia, Turkey, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Spain, and Canada. SCOPE exhibitor highlights include:听Kir Royal听Gallery,听NG Art & Gallery,听We Gallery,听The Public House听of Art,听Joerg Heitsch听Gallery,听Montoro12听Contemporary Art,听Rademakers Gallery,听Laurent Marthaler听Contemporary Art,听Wunderkammern, and Francesca Antonini听Arte Contemporanea.
Recognised as the original incubator for emerging work, SCOPE鈥檚 Breeder Program also marks听its 16th year of introducing new galleries to the contemporary market. Breeder Program alumni include: Peres Projects, John Connelly Presents, Galeria Enrique Guerrero, Daniel Reich Gallery, Bischoff/ Weiss, and Spinello Projects, amongst others. The participants for 2016 are:听beta galeria, Anna Zorina Gallery,听ORLINDA LAVERGNE听Art Gallery,听Galerie Katapult,听GmbH, and听Andrea Rehder听Arte Contemporanea.
Beginning on 14 June听with its Platinum First View Event听from 10am-1pm, followed by the VIP + Press Preview 1-4pm, and the public听Vernissage, 4-7pm,听SCOPE Basel will be open to the public 15 – 19 June, 11am-8pm, daily. Attendees听are invited to join Artnet + SCOPE for an engaging panel discussion that delves into the ethos听of corporate听collections. on Wednesday 15 June at 3pm in the SCOPE VIP Lounge.
