Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York,聽presents聽Lost Downtown, the gallery鈥檚 first solo exhibition by acclaimed photographer Peter Hujar (1934-1987). The exhibition, organised聽in collaboration with PACE/MACGILL, features over聽20 portraits by the late photographer, which offer a fascinating glimpse of New York City鈥檚 downtown scene during the 1970s-80s.聽Hujar’s portraits evoke the same spirit and starkness as August Sander and Diane Arbus before him: clear, austere, and engaging.
