The 14th edition of opens today, showcasing work from over 160 galleries from across the globe. Running听until 9 October, the fair brings听together some of today鈥檚 most noteworthy artists, as well as staging a multitude of new artist commissions and talks as part of its non-profit programme. Fuelled by the momentum of last year鈥檚 success, Frieze continues to commit itself to discovery and artistic excellence.
This year sees the introduction of a new display听space, titled The Nineties. The section aims to recreate pivotal exhibitions from the decade, allowing today鈥檚 visitors to experience the monumental exhibits of yesteryear. In addition, the Focus and Live sections are set to听return, continuing to provide platforms for emerging galleries and performance art respectively.
Aesthetica will be making an appearance at Frieze this year. As part of the Reading Room sessions, Editorial Assistant Kate Simpson and Marketing Coordinator Alex Beresford will be discussing the world of contemporary photography and the publishing world. This conversation, alongside others to be听held throughout the fair, provides an invaluable opportunity for those interested in the world of publishing to gain unique insight. The talk will take place on 9 October, 12.30pm.
In addition, the magazine will be听available to purchase throughout the run of the听fair – one of听30 magazines to be sold over the three days. Frieze London runs听annually alongside its sister fairs, Frieze Masters and the Frieze Sculpture Park, which collectively听stand as significant events on the arts fair calendar, and continue to attract countless visitors year upon year.
