Sally Mann: A Thousand Crossings,聽opening at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, in 2018,聽explores how the artist’s relationship with the South has shaped her highly experimental and ethereal work. A total of 125 photographs, many of which have not been exhibited or published previously, provide a sweeping overview of Mann鈥檚 artistic achievement. The presentation is divided into five sections: family, landscape, battlefields, legacy and mortality.
