At the end of February will return to , welcoming over 180 galleries from 40 countries. Running from 28 February until 2 March, the fair brings together contemporary and modern art from all over the world, including regions such as Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Established and emerging artists from cities such as Lagos, Berlin, Beijing, Dubai, Buenos Aires, Osaka, Mumbai and S茫o Paulo will be celebrated in this diverse event. There will also be a programme of talks, performances and collaborations with top London chefs.
Art14 London has strong links with several leading Asian galleries, marking the fair out as a significant meeting point for these institutions outside of the region. Alongside this strand, the event also features other key art scenes from around the world, such as modern and contemporary Middle Eastern and European art. In attendance from Europe will be(UK), who will present a major work by Bridget Riley, and (Hungary) will be exhibiting major works by Simon Hanta茂, recently the subject of a major retrospective at the in Paris. In addition, Contemporary British gallery , known for their dramatic off-site projects, will have their art fair debut at Art14 London. will exhibit previously unseen works by the cult writer, filmmaker and photographer Jon Savage.
The main section of the fair is joined by two specially curated sections, London First and Emerge. London First is managed by Belgian-based Mai Abu ElDahab, and focuses upon 16 young galleries who have not exhibited at an art fair in London before. One such participant will be from Mumbai, who will present a one-person stand of India鈥檚 most renowned photographer, Raghubir Singh. Emerge is directed by Lisa Le Feuvre of the , Leeds. 15 galleries will participate including from Bogota who will show the subtle works of the Brazilian artist Mauro Piva.
Art14 London provides an extensive overview of the contemporary art scene at work today. In addition to the numerous gallery stands, the fair will also host a number of stands dedicated to non-profit institutions and feature an extensive programme of talks, projects and performances.
