This autumn Serlachius Museum, Finland, presents a series of monumental paintingsÌýby renowned contemporary artistÌýAnselm Kiefer. This is the first time that Kiefer’s outputÌýis being shownÌýon such an extensive scale in Finland. ÌýThe exhibitionÌýfeatures nearly 30 monumental works fromÌýthe German Grothe Collection and fills the museum’s Gösta Pavilion completely.ÌýKiefer is a storyteller, whose themes are drawn from history, literature and philosophyÌýandÌýrelate, for example, to painful episodes in the history of Germany and of Europe as a whole.ÌýUntil 24 April 2016.
