An internationally renowned competition, the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award attracts submissions from emerging and established writers from around the world, and in 2015, the prize聽received more than 2,500 entries from over 40 countries worldwide. The 2016 annual showcases聽a broad collection of poetry and short fiction by reputable and promising talent,聽including shortlisted author Stav Poleg and her poem What Time.
First聽published in South Bank Poetry, 21, Summer 2015,聽What Time聽is one of 40 poems featured in the Creative Writing anthology.聽Poleg works in a variety of genres and styles, and her poetry has been聽featured聽in journals such as Poetry Ireland Review, The Rialto, Magma and Poetry Wales. Her聽theatre work has been performed at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, the Greenwich Theatre and the Shunt Vaults, London, and her聽graphic-novel piece Dear Penelope (with artist Laura Gressani) was acquired by the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
