The is open for entries, presenting a fantastic opportunity for established and emerging writers to showcase their poetry and short fiction to new, international audiences. Presented by , the Award celebrates outstanding new writing and publishes a collection of finalists every year, which unites established and emerging literary talent from across the world.
Previous winners and finalists from the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award have gone on to achieve global recognition, having been selected from thousands of entries for publication. Last year, Poetry winner and award-winning novelist Sylvia Adams was selected for her piece Hands A Choice, and university graduate Jennifer Roe championed the Short Fiction category with Roses are Red.
Prizes include publication in the Aesthetica Creative Writing Annual for winners and 拢500 for the Short Fiction Winner; 拢500 for the Poetry Winner; a selection of inspirational books from and ; and editorial coverage on the .
Entry is 拢10 and the deadline to submit work is 31 August 2014. One entry fee permits the submission of two works into any one category. Fiction entries should be no more than 2,000 words each and poetry entries should be no more than 40 lines each. Both short fiction and poetry entries should be written in English. Submissions previously published elsewhere are accepted.
