Changyeon Lee is a New York-based award-winning artist and director of Studio God鈥檚 Gift. His practice specialises in kinetic sculpture through the use of mechanical components and natural objects.
The work examined in this Video Profile, A Thousand Breaths, represents human breathing in a form of which Lee refers to as 鈥渕otion amidst rest.鈥 From the artist鈥檚 personal experience of being in a coma, the installations in this series articulate perspectives on the transitory versus the perpetuity.
