Modern Color, an exhibition of works by Fred Herzog (b. 1930) at Laurence Miller Gallery,聽 New York,聽 explores the streets of Vancouver in the 1950s and 1960s. Positioning its architecture as a locus for social interaction, the bright images focus on public spaces;聽 storefronts, neon signs, billboards, cafes and crowds of people come together in a celebration of urban life.
