As a self-taught photographer, Bernitz produces long-term documentary projects that focus on the built environment and urban landscapes. The artist is deeply interested in the context of buildings and their history, as well as the socio-cultural implications of structural design on our environment.聽Landmarks聽provides conceptual documentation of art installations on former mining dumps in the Ruhr area in Germany.
