Traversing remote landscapes, Martin Tscholl seeks out moments of contemplation. These locations often provide infinite horizons that are incomprehensible. Every mountain  is millions of years old; glaciers provide evidence of an eventful past that stretches beyond my lifetime. Recognising this existing natural order – in all its complexity – exceeds the limits of Tscholl’s perception. Terrain is an investigation into natural phenomena.
