Burgess emphasises transience: the constantly changing nature of materials and the viewer鈥檚 direct experience. Neither drawing nor sculpture, 叠辞谤诲别谤濒颈苍别蝉听highlights humankind鈥檚 inability to define, pin down and fix amidst this constant flow of life. The piece looks like a drawing, made of paper and pencil, but expands sculpturally into the floor.
