A visit to Tokyo in 1995 formed Emmanuelle Moureaux鈥檚 artistic vision, in response to the city鈥檚 infinite layers and colours. Terming her concept 鈥渟hikiri鈥 meaning 鈥渢o divide space using colours鈥, she began a process of creating 3D spaces from coloured layers. In I am here, she applies this to repeated anonymous cut-out figures.
