Nicolas Dhervillers’ cinematic Detachment series, on display at Galerie C茅dric Bacqueville, offers the Anabaptist Amish community a new narrative. Sublime natural and industrial landscapes provide a backdrop for tiny anachronistic figures. Illuminated by an unnatural glow, these characters are uncanny and dreamlike, facilitating a state of reflection and meditation.
