Anja Niemi鈥檚 (b. 1976) series She Could Have Been A Cowboy explores notions of the self through staged compositions, returning to symbols drawn from the myth-making of wild west movies.
The collection questions notions of gender and conformity, and forms part of an ongoing investigation into the self and its limits.
