The result of 11 years spent travelling along the iconic 2,600 mile Route 66,聽MAIN STREET: The Lost Dream of Route 66 by Pulitzer-Prize winning photographer Edward Keating documents the lives of communities and individuals encountered along the way.
Investigating the highway’s mythic quality – which has inspired artists and writers such as Andy Warhol and Jack Kerouac – the body of work serves as a metaphor for the disintegration of the American Dream, capturing scenes between Chicago and Santa Monica.
