Navigating the theme of Space, the seventh edition of international photography prize Prix Pictet investigates pressing global subjects such overpopulation, borders, air pollution and the digital age.

For example, winner Richard Mosse’s Heat Maps聽document the refugee and migration situation in Europe, the Middle East and north Africa using a thermographic camera, whilst Beate G眉tschow’s S Series聽presents fictional cityscapes of utopian architecture. Featured above,聽Tokyo Compression by Michael Wolf looks to ideas of overcrowding and daily life in the metropolis.
