The 2017 edition of Maison & Objet, opening in Paris on 8 September, will explore the theme of Comfort Zone. The product of year-round collaborative work by members of the fair’s Observatory, the theme collates this year’s design offerings into a cohesive survey of contemporary innovation. François Bernard will curate a selection of objects by leading brands in the Inspirations Space, which will be accompanied by a Bookshop-Café with a variety of sources illustrating the theme. In addition, the Inspirations Book will shed light on the notion of comfort from various forward-looking perspectives, while the Conference Space will provide an opportunity to further explore how the theme fits into design agendas today.
Maison & Objet will also welcome WOHA Architects, elected Designer of the Year Asia 2017, as well as one of the winners of Rising Talent Awards Asia 2017. Â DESIGNER OF THE YEAR ASIA 2017, as well as the 5 winners of the RISING TALENT AWARDS ASIA 2017. Based in Singapore, the firm is known for its ability to integrate environmental and social elements in its inventive projects.
