Taking place this weekend at the National Agriculture Exhibition Center,  returns for its 10th edition with an engaging and diverse presentation of galleries, individuals artists and special projects from across the world. Organised into distinct pavilions focusing on the fields of contemporary and classic art, this year’s expanded fair welcomes a new professional design platform, Design Beijing. Concerned with the aesthetics of design, this pavilion exposes future design trends and promotes the Chinese design industry.
Established in 2006, Art Beijing has become a major art and exhibition brand in Asia. The fair continues to adapt to market trends and further deÂfine its position in a continually changing industry. Assisting with this year’s expansion is new Art Director, Takahiro Kaneshima, who previously served as Executive Director and later Program Director at Art Fair Tokyo. Featured exhibitors in 2016’s galleries sector include , , , and , amongst others.
Alongside a selection of world-class artworks from Asian, European and American galleries, the fair will also host new commissions in its Public Art section. Entitled Art for Tomorrow, this programme focuses on the trend of art publicity, and explores the function of art integrating with the public and its relationship with nature and the city. Elsewhere, the fair’s Art Forum boasts a dynamic line-up of talks and discussions, which touch upon  a range of topics including Dialogues Between Western and Chinese Design Masters; Artificial Intelligence & Art; and Art for Tomorrow: The Exchange of Practice Cases in Art Intervention.
Drawing buyers, collectors and enthusiasts from a wealth of cities, the 2016 edition of Art Beijing is set to be a lively event.
