Ana Mendieta: Experimental and Interactive Films is the first full-scale gallery exhibition dedicated to the artist’s聽filmworks in New York. Revealing aspects of Mendieta鈥檚 practice that are not as widely known as her ritualistic investigations of body and landscape, the show at Galerie Lelong,聽demonstrates the artist’s聽technical innovations and her singular approach to the medium. The 15聽works comprising the exhibition 鈥 nine of which have never been seen before 鈥 are newly transferred from their original media to digital formats.
