Art Taipei 2015, Taipei World Trade Centre

returns for its 22nd edition this October, building on past experience to promote its position as a leading international art fair and the longest-standing event of its kind in Asia. Organised by Taiwan Art Gallery Association, the fair invites a selection of over 3,000 works, presented by 168 galleries from 20 countries and territories. In 2015聽Art Taipei’s聽strong relationship with exhibitors from Taiwan will be extended to聽38 new international galleries from locations as diverse as Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mainland China, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam.

Opening on 30 October, Art Taipei transforms the 23,450 square metre interior of the Taipei World Trade Centre into an expansive site for the fair鈥檚 world class exhibitions. This year the fair聽places an emphasis on cross-boundary cooperation and inheritance of art and seeks to break the traditional limits of booths in order to create a multi-media visitor experience through sound, video and space design. For its 22nd edition, Art Taipei will return with more than 100 exhibitors in its main Galleries section, each one presenting high quality works in various media including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, prints, photography and video. In 2015聽the fair will introduce the Premiere section, showcasing innovative pieces created in the last three years, including works that have never been shown in Taiwan from over 24 galleries.

Premiere will be accompanied by the Frontier section, promoting art in new media from seven galleries including 1335 Mabini, a.m. space, Chini Gallery and more; Future, highlighting the practices of emerging artists under the age of 35 represented by AIKE-DELLARCO, Equator Art Project, Gallery Irritum, H Gallery, Richard Koh Fine Art and others; and Made in Taiwan, a section that is dedicated to presenting local emerging talents.
