This Autumn, the New Art Gallery Walsall hosts聽a major survey exhibition of work by British artist Mat Collishaw,聽the first in a UK public gallery for over 10聽years. The show聽includes photography, film, sculpture and installation, and testifies to the richness and breadth of Collishaw鈥檚 practice, highlighting and exploring some of the overriding themes and preoccupations within his work.聽Fascinated by the darker side of human nature, the artist is often drawn to聽challenging subject matters that deal with death, destruction and decay, yet reveals them to be聽beautiful, hypnotic and compelling.
